A centennial moment
Laco Edition 100

Mission 2025 completed

With the Edition 100, Laco brings Mission 2025 to a distinguished close while celebrating a century of watchmaking heritage. The mission has so far included five special editions, each highlighting a defining facet of Laco’s history – from marine and sport watches to classic pilot’s watches and the chronograph.

As the final chapter, Edition 100 continues this journey in a new stylistic direction. Limited to 100 pieces, it draws inspiration from a characteristic design of the 1950s and translates its refined elegance into a contemporary form.

History reinterpreted

Edition 100 is based on a carefully selected historical Laco model – a design known for its clean lines, balanced proportions and understated finesse. Key features of the era, such as the slim bezel, calm typography and subtle two-tone dial structure, have been gently refined without losing their original character. The result is a timepiece that reinterprets Laco’s 1950s aesthetic with authenticity and modern precision.

Between clarity & golden accents

The dial combines a deep black center with a soft champagne-toned outer ring. This two-level structure creates a subtle sense of depth, complemented by applied gold-coloured numerals, recessed indexes and polished hands with gold-tone coating. Superluminova C3 ensures clear, unobtrusive legibility by day and night.

Vintage form, modern execution

The 38 mm stainless steel case with gold-tone IP coating follows the proportions of its historical predecessor. A notable detail is the double-domed sapphire crystal in a rare box shape – flat on top, steeply curved at the sides. Once common in the 1950s, this form is now technically demanding and seldom seen.

The almost invisible bezel gives the watch a visually larger presence, while the gently tapering case profile reinforces its elegant vintage character.

Slim movement & refined strap

Inside the Edition 100 beats the particularly slim Laco 300 automatic movement, whose reduced height enables the watch’s refined silhouette. With approximately 56 hours of power reserve and a stop-seconds mechanism, it meets modern expectations of precision and reliability.

The watch is paired with a black Shell Cordovan leather strap. Its flat design, tone-on-tone stitching and gold-tone IP buckle with Laco engraving add a classic and elegant finishing touch.

A symbol returns

On the closed case back, the fine sun logo appears – a traditional Laco hallmark used throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

Now rendered in precise engraving, it meets another defining feature: the strict limitation to 100 pieces, each individually numbered. This makes every Edition 100 a personal anniversary keepsake – and the final model of the Count-Up Series.

For those who appreciate the exceptional!
