Two time zones, one glance: the Atacama Quarz UTC is a squad watch with a Swiss quartz movement and a second time zone – a function particularly valued by emergency and security personnel. It belongs to the Atacama family, which proves itself every day in service with the German armed forces, police and fire brigades.
The Ronda 515.24 quartz movement offers real advantages: it deviates by only a few seconds per month, is always ready for immediate use and can be set to the second time zone with a quick-set function. Because it is particularly slim, the case is only 10.5 mm high.
The second time is shown by a UTC hand with a skeletonized arrow tip and orange luminous material on its own 24-hour scale. The screw-down crown sits protected at 12 o'clock, and an orange ring on the tube shows whether it is properly closed – only then is the watch water-resistant to 20 ATM. A countdown bezel and date complete the package.
The conical case and flexible end pieces ensure a comfortable fit, and the black DLC coating prevents reflections. The watch adds a precise, particularly light alternative to mechanical movements to Laco's functional watches. A longer rubber strap is available on request.
