Dark, compact, technical: the Bielefeld 39 combines the type B dial with a 39 mm case and a black coating. That makes it the most understated black pilot watch in the BASIC collection – an automatic watch for slimmer wrists that stands out quietly.
On the black dial, the minute track on the edge and the inner hour circle stand out in light tones. This layout comes from the observation watches navigators once used to determine their position; today it makes the watch instantly recognizable as a pilot watch.
Unlike the ORIGINAL models, which recreate their historical predecessors right down to the sandblasted case, the BASIC line interprets the theme freely: smaller cases, dark surfaces, curved lugs. The automatic movement is on view through the sapphire crystal case back, and at night the numerals and hands glow.
The black riveted leather strap completes the monochrome look. If you like, you can choose the Laco 31 caliber or a sapphire crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides; both are available as options. A watch for the city, the office and the evening.
