The Augsburg 39 shows how well the type A dial works in a smaller format. The pilot’s triangle at 12 o’clock and the large Arabic numerals remain unchanged – only the case is more understated at 39 mm. That makes it a compact automatic pilot watch for slimmer wrists.
It is precisely this restraint that makes it so versatile. It slips effortlessly under a shirt cuff, looks entirely natural with a sweater on the weekend – and when you glance at it, you have taken in the time before you consciously look.
The BASIC collection represents the modern side of the Laco pilot watch. Instead of the historical construction of the ORIGINAL series with its domed crystal and striking crown, satin-finished stainless steel, curved lugs and a flat sapphire crystal set the tone here. Through the exhibition case back you can see the automatic movement, while the luminous material keeps the numerals and hands visible at night.
The riveted leather strap is reminiscent of historical pilot straps; on request, it comes with a folding clasp and the Laco 31 caliber with a longer power reserve.
