Precision you can see: the Ulm 42.5 is a modern hand-wound pilot watch with small seconds, powered by an exceptionally elaborately finished movement. It is made for anyone who wants not only to wear mechanics, but to understand them.
The Laco 98 caliber is based on the ETA 6498.2 and fitted in Top grade – a large hand-wound movement that is rarely used today. Laco refines it with Geneva stripes on the bridges, heat-blued screws, a sunburst finish on the crown and ratchet wheels and a Laco engraving. The large sapphire crystal case back puts this work on display.
Because the hand-wound movement needs no rotor, the case could be made especially slim: under 11 mm high at a diameter of 42.5 mm. The combination of polished and sandblasted surfaces gives the watch a dynamic look that fits under any cuff.
The type A dial is designed for fast legibility, and the small seconds at 6 o'clock keep the center clear. Numerals, indices and the lozenge (Losangé) hands with blued frames carry Superluminova C3. A brown smooth leather strap with stainless steel buckle completes the watch.
