The Heidelberg is the most uncomplicated route to a historically faithful pilot watch: type A dial, automatic movement and a compact 39 mm case. It combines the classic pilot watch dial with a movement that winds itself as you wear it.
The triangle with two dots at 12 o'clock and the eleven large numerals are designed to be read at a glance. Blued hands with luminous material and luminous numerals keep the watch legible even at dusk; the domed sapphire crystal lends the dial depth.
Even in this size, the construction stays historical. The barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, pressed-in case back and dark sandblasted finish with the engraving FL23883 correspond to the observation watches of the 1940s. As the only one of the five historic manufacturers worldwide, Laco still makes its pilot watches this way today.
