The Münster Erbstück looks as if it has accompanied several generations, yet runs as reliably as on its first day: it is a historically faithful, hand-aged pilot watch with a type A dial and an automatic movement. The classic pilot dial with its triangle and eleven large numerals remains perfectly legible.
At Laco, the aging is done by hand. Case, dial, hands and strap are worked individually until the scratches, patina and discoloration look as though time itself left them behind. That makes every piece one of a kind.
Underneath lies the construction of the 1940s observation watches: barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, pressed-in case back and a crown modeled on the historical original. Laco is the only one of the five historic manufacturers worldwide that still upholds this construction today.
The automatic movement winds itself as you wear it, 42 mm makes for a balanced presence, and the brown riveted vintage leather strap is aged to match. The aging comes in three levels, with level 2 as standard.
